Welltec put in market new all electric injection molding machine 550HD with PC/PMMA special plasticizing components for high end applications.

The new all electric injection molding machine 550HD was tested in the factory of Welltec in production of two cavities optical parts for automotive with a TOOLCEN injection robot. The new HD series large scale all electric injection molding machine by Welltec machinery is optimized for the production of light guide strips and thick wall light guides with high performance servo motors and precision ball screw to achieve a precisized injection of 0.01mm. And the product weight repeatability can be up to 1%, which is an ideal injection molding machine for PC/PMMA optical parts injection production.

The recommended robot for this injection molding machine would be SWITEK 3 axis servo injection robot SW6715DS which is a medium size servo robot with a payload up to 15kg and will provide reliable stability and repeat precision for the production of PC/PMMA optical parts. To further increase the productivity and quality of the optical parts, a runner cutting unit and optical vision control unit can also be introduced into the system to create a turn-key solution of optical parts production.
